2009 Western Sustainability and Pollution Prevention Network Conference

    Travel Scholarship Information

WSPPN has a limited amount of funds to help individuals with no alternative resources to attend the conference.

All individuals from the states of EPA Region 9 (AZ, CA, HI, NV and the Tribal Lands), with the exception of those from the federal government and private industry, are eligible to apply for a travel scholarship for reimbursement of their travel expenses. Typically, when and if awarded, a travel scholarship covers a percentage of the total cost of attendance. Reimbursements will be given to registrants after the conference.

Registrants from EPA Region 10 (AK, ID, OR, WA and the Tribal Lands) who would like to apply for a travel scholarship should contact PPRC at 206-352-2050 and speak with Paula Del Giudice.
    Scholarship Requirements

The following conditions must be met or agreed to in order to receive a travel scholarship:
___• Applicant must be from an environmental program within EPA Region 9 (or a conference speaker).
___• Applicant will be required to report on how the conference information was useful for his/her program.
___• Applicant must provide measurement data from his/her program to be entered into the National P2 Results Database.

Priority will be given to conference speakers and attendees from state, local, or tribal P2 programs. If assistance is approved, applicant will be reimbursed for up to the approved amount. Applicant must submit appropriate documentation of expenses to WSPPN via fax (702-866-6800) or email (raulg@unr.edu). We encourage applicants to coordinate with other attendees for travel to keep expenses at a minimum.
